Community Outreach

Giving back to the community is an integral part of WIT Yemen participation. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their potential to succeed, and for their commitment to using their new skills to encourage and enable other Yemeni girls and women to pursue training and careers in Information Technology.

Through workshops, training, and support, the program prepares WIT Yemen participants for presentations in local schools, youth clubs, and women's clubs. The presentations give participants the opportunity to demonstrate how new technologies can be used to multiply the impact of community efforts, and also spark ideas and interest of the next generation of Yemeni women. Through these interactions with the community, WIT Yemen graduates shine as role models.
